About IPMN
The Industry Project Masters Network (IPMN), launched by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in September 2022 under the “Fintech 2025” strategy, aims to groom fintech talent by offering postgraduate students hands-on experience and skills through bank-led fintech projects. IPMN fosters collaboration with local universities, HSUHK joined since the year 2024/2025. This initiative supports Hong Kong’s goal of enhancing its fintech ecosystem and preparing students for the region’s projected demand of 3,000 professionals annually by 2027.
HSUHK’s Participation
HSUHK proudly joins the IPMN as a key partner, providing students with real-world fintech opportunities. Our participation aligns with our mission to deliver accessible, non-technical FinTech education, equipping students with practical skills in AI, blockchain, and regtech.
The Mentorship Network Through the IPMN
The Mentorship Network is a key element of the IPMN scheme. Through the Mentorship Network, each fintech or industry project of the IPMN scheme will be supervised by mentors from various fields: the academia, financial sector, and tech/fintech industry. Mentors will meet with students regularly, offer advice on their projects, and evaluate their performance.

HSUHK IPMN 2024/2025
In 2024/2025, HSUHK collaborates with Mox Bank on the topic “Opportunities and Challenges of Digital Banking Integration between Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong.” Postgraduate students work on projects exploring digital banking innovations, such as cross-border payments and wealth management, using no-code platforms and AI-driven tools. This partnership addresses key issues like regulatory alignment, data security, and market expansion, preparing students for roles in Hong Kong’s international financial hub.
