The Department of Economics and Finance at HSUHK organized the 3rd Secondary School FinTech Innovation Competition on 19 June 2025, themed “Generative AI for Finance and FinTech Education.” Secondary school students developed AI-driven tools—such as games, videos, and interactive apps—to enhance public financial literacy on daily concepts.
Thirteen finalist teams showcased their projects in the final presentation, with Team SAIFU from Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School winning the Champion award for their AI-powered gadget. The gadget monitors wallet usage, documents income and spending, and supports financial habits through a connected application.
The competition underscores EAF’s commitment to nurturing young talent, promoting innovation, and building a foundation for FinTech skills, contributing to Hong Kong’s vibrant financial ecosystem and empowering future leaders.
